(Bi1-xSbx)2Te3 thermoelectric thin films were deposited on stainless steel discs in 1 M perchloric acid and 0.1 M tartaric acid by pulse electrodeposition in order to optimize the grain growth. The influence of the electrolyte composition, the cathodic current density and the cathodic pulse time on film stoichiometry were studied. The results show that it is necessary to increase the Sb content in the electrolyte to obtain the (Bi0.25Sb0.75)2Te3 film stoichiometry. Pulse plating reduced the grain size and the roughness, compared with continuous plating. Thermoelectric and electrical properties were also studied and it was found that the Seebeck coefficient and electrical resistivity were related to two parameters: the cathodic pulse current density and the films thickness.  相似文献

In these days, IP network customers become sensitive to the QoS guarantee provided by the network. Amongst many QoS guarantee schemes, Diffserv (Differentiated Services) is the one of the most practical candidates for the next generation IP networks. Under these circumstances, the commercial network venders have already provided the Diffserv routers that support EF (Expedited Forwarding) PHB (Per Hop Behavior). However, AF (Assured Forwarding) PHB in Diffserv still has not been provided by commercial routers. Therefore, it is a realistic solution that SBR3 (Statistical Bit Rate 3) of ATM emulates AF PHB, but it is not clear whether TCP traffic over AF PHB emulated by ATM is differentiated from the best effort TCP traffic over DF (Default Forwarding) PHB. To confirm the differentiation, we have experimentally studied TCP performance through the link into which TCP connections over AF PHB and DF PHB are aggregated. This paper describes the experimental results and discusses the possibility of the TCP performance differentiation between AF PHB and DF PHB over ATM.  相似文献

The novel benzoindane S 18126 possessed > 100-fold higher affinity at cloned, human (h) D4 (Ki = 2.4 nM) vs. hD2 (738 nM), hD3 (2840 nM), hD1 (> 3000 nM) and hD5 (> 3000 nM) receptors and about 50 other sites, except sigma1 receptors (1.6 nM). L 745,870 similarly showed selectivity for hD4 (2.5 nM) vs. hD2 (905 nM) and hD3 (> 3000 nM) receptors. In contrast, raclopride displayed low affinity at hD4 (> 3000 nM) vs. hD2 (1.1 nM) and hD3 receptors (1.4 nM). Stimulation of [35S]-GTPgammaS binding at hD4 receptors by dopamine (DA) was blocked by S 18126 and L 745,870 with Kb values of 2.2 and 1.0 nM, respectively, whereas raclopride (> 1000 nM) was inactive. In contrast, raclopride inhibited stimulation of [35S]-GTPgammaS binding at hD2 sites by DA with a Kb of 1.4 nM, whereas S 18126 (> 1000 nM) and L 745,870 (> 1000 nM) were inactive. As concerns presynaptic dopaminergic receptors, raclopride (0.01-0.05 mg/kg s.c. ) markedly enhanced DA synthesis in mesocortical, mesolimbic and nigrostriatal dopaminergic pathways. In contrast, even high doses (2. 5-40.0 mg/kg s.c.) of S 18126 and L 745,870 were only weakly active. Similarly, raclopride (0.016 mg/kg i.v.) abolished inhibition of the firing rate of ventrotegmental dopaminergic neurons by apomorphine, whereas even high doses (0.5 mg/kg i.v.) of S 18126 and L 745,870 were only weakly active. As regards postsynaptic dopaminergic receptors, raclopride potently (0.01-0.3 mg/kg s.c.) reduced rotation elicited by quinpirole in rats with unilateral lesions of the substantia nigra, antagonized induction of hypothermia by PD 128, 907, blocked amphetamine-induced hyperlocomotion and was effective in six further models of potential antipsychotic activity. In contrast, S 18126 and L 745,870 were only weakly active in these models (5.0-> 40.0 mg/kg s.c.). In six models of extrapyramidal and motor symptoms, such as induction of catalepsy, raclopride was likewise potently active (0.01-2.0 mg/kg s.c.) whereas S 18126 and L 745,870 were only weakly active (10.0-80.0 mg/kg s.c.). In freely moving rats, raclopride (0.16 mg/kg s.c.) increased levels of DA by + 55% in dialysates of the frontal cortex. However, it also increased levels of DA in the accumbens and striatum by 70% and 75%, respectively. In contrast to raclopride, at a dose of 0.16 mg/kg s.c. , neither S 18126 nor L 745,870 modified frontal cortex levels of DA. However, at a high dose (40.0 mg/kg s.c.), S 18126 increased dialysate levels of DA (+ 85%) and noradrenaline (+ 100%), but not serotonin (+ 10%), in frontal cortex without affecting DA levels in accumbens (+ 10%) and striatum (+ 10%). In conclusion, S 18126 and L 745,870 behave as potent and selective antagonists of cloned, hD4 vs. other dopaminergic receptor types in vitro. However, their in vivo effects at high doses probably reflect residual antagonist actions at D2 (or D3) receptors. Selective blockade of D4 receptors was thus associated neither with a modification of dopaminergic transmission nor with antipsychotic (antiproductive) or extrapyramidal properties. The functional effects of selective D4 receptor blockade remain to be established.  相似文献

Pinking of TiO2‐pigmented PVC can be observed for profiles exposed to the mild environmental conditions of northern European countries. In a previous paper, the pinking phenomenon was accounted for at the molecular level by the formation of polyene sequences, which are not completely photooxidatively bleached in conditions of oxygen starvation. This causation has been confirmed by exposing to visible light in a SEPAP 12.24 apparatus profiles in which pinking was produced during 4 year‐weathering in N.W. France. The fast phototransformations in visible light of chloropolyenes in trans‐configurations leading to α‐chloropolyenes in cis‐configurations accounts for the conversion of pinking into limited graying. It appears that the first and more intense graying observed after the initial exposure to UV and visible light of profiles in the SEPAP 12.24 can be essentially attributed to the photoreduction products of lead stabilizers. Graying could be bleached through thermooxidation at 65°C, could not be converted into pinking, and has no environmental relevance.  相似文献

Silicon carbide nanotubes with medium surface area (30-60 m2/g) were successfully prepared by reaction between carbon nanotubes and SiO vapor according to the shape memory synthesis (SMS). The gross morphology of the carbon nanotubes was maintained during the carburization process. A calcination in air at 600 °C was performed to remove unreacted carbon domains in order to obtain pure carbon-free SiC nanotubes. The synthesized SiC nanotubes had a mean outer diameter of 100 nm and lengths up to several tens of micrometres.  相似文献

Poly[thio-1-(N,N-diethylaminomethyl) ethylene] [poly(TDAE)] of different optical purities were prepared by stereoelective polymerization of racemic N,N-diethyl-N-(thiirane-2-ylmethyl) amine (TDAE) using a (1:1) ZnEt2R (?) 3,3-dimethyl 1,2-butanediol (R(?)DMBD) chiral initiator system. Optically enriched TDAE samples were isolated as residual monomers. These monomers were thermally polymerized to give optically active poly(TDAE) with randomly distributed R and S repeat units in various proportions. The configuration of the enantiomer preferentially incorporated into growing chains during the stereoelective polymerization was determined as R on the basis of the presence of a positive Cotton effect at 260 nm in the c.d. spectrum of residual monomers. This configuration agrees well with the known homosteric character of the ZnEt2(?)DMBD initiator system. 13C n.m.r. spectra of the different optically active poly(TDAE) samples and those of more or less stereoregular racemic ones were compared. It was found that the carbon atom of the main chain methine group is the only one which is stereosensitive. Observed triad effects were used to determine the degree of isotacticity of optically active poly(TDAE)s prepared by thermal polymerization of partly enriched monomers. The stereoelectivity of the initiator system and the optical activity of optically pure TDAE and poly(TDAE) were deduced. Side-chain nitrogen atoms did not show any competitive effect with sulphur atoms in the coordination process to the chiral initiator system.  相似文献

Absolute radiometric calibration is one of the main elements that contribute to the quality of measurements obtained with optical remote sensing instruments, but maintaining a good calibration accuracy during the whole life of an instrument is a difficult task. Since the sensitivity of an instrument generally changes after launch and degrades with time, many sensors have been equipped with onboard calibration devices. But these devices being not perfectly reliable, independent calibration methods based on natural targets are necessary to validate the results. The Sun glint calibration method is an interband calibration method that uses the specular reflection of the Sun on the ocean surface to transfer the absolute calibration of one reference spectral band to other spectral bands, from visible to short wave infrared wavelengths. Despite the drawback of relying on the absolute calibration of a reference spectral band, this method is one of the rare methods that can provide accurate calibration results for near-infrared spectral bands up to 1650 nm, without requiring costly in situ measurements simultaneously to the satellite overpass. This paper details the Sun glint calibration method and its error budget, and gives the results obtained with the VEGETATION instrument that was recently launched onboard the Systeme Pour l'Observation de la Terre 5 (SPOT-5) satellite. These results compare very well with the results of other calibration methods.  相似文献

Numerous studies have identified a variety of reasons that youths give for starting smoking. Few efforts have been made, however, to identify seasonal variations in initiation. This study was an attempt to fill that void. We examined data from 342 youths participating in a mandated smoking education and cessation program in Texas. Data were collected based on responses to questions in participant workbooks, including an item asking participants about the month in which they started smoking. A total of 47% of the participants indicated that they started smoking in May through August (chi2 = 91.42, df = 3). Post-hoc analyses indicated that significantly more youths than expected began smoking in May and June, whereas significantly fewer youths than expected began smoking in September and November. Unsupervised time out of school during the first months of summer vacation is a period of increased danger for smoking initiation. The significantly lower rates during September seem to be related to the beginning of school.  相似文献

The wave propagation at frequencies from about 10 GHz can suffer rain effects such as attenuation, scattering and depolarization. The magnitude of these effects depends on rain characteristics. This paper presents results of the propagation experiments undertaken in Douala (Cameroon) and in Brazzaville (Congo) under the auspices of the ITU (Geneva) with the collaboration of CNET (France Telecom). Data based on five months measurements of rain rates in Douala with a network of four rain-gauges are presented with reference also to some results of a propagation campaign in Brazzaville. The rain measurement period in Douala includes all of the rainy season. The measurement data are used to investigate the rain effect characteristics of the low latitude tropical regions of Africa and are discussed in relation to the influence of rain on microwave system performances in the region.  相似文献
